US-China faceoff over Taiwan arms deal

Relation of US and China will be upset. Even they have meetings and saying they want to keep good relation, they have been on and off. At some point, I don't see too much of them selling. Since it not like Taiwan will use it to attack China. It will be good money for US. But on the other hand, let's say your " Friend" sells a UZI automatic and a Bazooka to your neighbor, that's going to cause problems with that "friend" I don't think that relation will last that long.
